The AI performance-intelligence platform for HYROX, named after the eight stations of the race. Built by HYROX Elite athlete and 4× Spartan World Champion Richard Hynek, it reads your official splits, benchmarks you against the field, ranks your limiters biggest-first and builds a plan that targets the biggest, then works through the rest as your data changes: the judgement of an elite racer and coach, delivered by AI. It is not a generic plan generator.

The fourth HYROX station: 80 metres of repeated burpee-to-broad-jump. From standing you drop to a chest-to-floor burpee, jump your feet in, then explode forward into a broad jump, and repeat until you cover the distance. It comes in the middle of the race, lands on already-fatigued legs and lungs, and is one of the most common places athletes lose time without realising it.

Running on legs that are already fatigued from a strength station. This is the defining demand of HYROX. Your 5K pace on fresh legs means little; what decides the race is the pace you can hold on the run that follows a sled, a set of lunges or wall balls. Training for HYROX means training the run under fatigue, not the run in isolation, which is why our analysis weights run-fade so heavily.

A HYROX format raced by two athletes who split the work, sharing the running and dividing the station reps between them. Because the workload is shared, Doubles paces and station times are not comparable to an individual race, so we never use Doubles or relay splits to set your individual training paces.

The invited, qualification-based field of the 15 fastest athletes per gender who race head-to-head in the showcase Elite heat at major HYROX events and the World Championships. It is the sharp end of the sport, and a spot is earned through ranking points, not simply entered. Our founder Richard Hynek has already raced in the Elite 15 and is now collecting ranking points to get back to it.

The sixth HYROX station: a 200-metre carry holding a heavy kettlebell in each hand. It taxes grip, trunk stability and posture late in the race, and any time you set the bells down to rest is time lost. Grip endurance and a tall, strong carry position are what protect this split.

A standardised fitness race contested the same way at every event worldwide: 8 × 1-kilometre runs, each followed by one functional workout station, for 8 runs and 8 stations in total. Because the format never changes, your times are directly comparable across races and against the global field, which is exactly what makes data-driven analysis possible.

A weakness costing you time, ranked by how much. Your biggest limiter is the leak that, fixed, would move your finish most. It might be a fading run, a slow sled transition or a station that drifts under fatigue. Chasing six weaknesses at once dilutes all of them; the 8stations method ranks your limiters, targets the biggest first, re-checks against your data, then works through the rest in order.

The seventh HYROX station: 100 metres of walking lunges with a sandbag racked across your shoulders. It demands single-leg strength and balance deep into the race, and a heavy sandbag on tired legs is where many athletes are forced to break the set. Smooth, unbroken lunges protect both this split and the run that follows.

The standard individual HYROX division, raced with lighter station weights than PRO. Open is where most athletes start, with the same 8 runs and 8 stations and the same format, with loads scaled so the race is challenging but accessible. The natural progression for a competitive athlete is Open first, then PRO.

The heavier individual HYROX division. PRO is open to anyone, exactly like Open, with the same 8 runs, 8 stations and format; the only difference is the station weights, which are roughly 20 to 35 percent heavier (a heavier sled, heavier carries and a heavier wall ball). It is not qualification-based. Our founder Richard Hynek races at HYROX Elite level with a 55:29 personal best and is chasing the Elite 15.

The fifth HYROX station: 1,000 metres on a Concept2 rower. It sits at the midpoint of the race and rewards a controlled, sustainable split over an all-out effort that wrecks the runs that follow. Pacing the row to the right intensity (hard but repeatable) is a classic execution decision the platform helps you rehearse.

The transition area between the run and the stations that every athlete crosses on each lap. The clock never stops in the roxzone, so the time you spend walking in, setting up, recovering and walking back out all counts toward your finish. It is one of the most overlooked places a race is won or lost, easy seconds that add up across 8 laps, and we measure it explicitly.

The first HYROX station: 1,000 metres on the Concept2 SkiErg. Because it opens the race, it sets the tone for everything after. Go too hard and you pay for it on the runs and stations to come; go too easy and you leave time on the table. Treating the SkiErg as a controlled opener rather than a sprint is a common pacing win.

The third HYROX station: pulling a heavily loaded sled 50 metres toward you, hand over hand, across the floor. It is a grip-, back- and leg-intensive grind that, like the sled push, can dump huge time if your technique or body position is inefficient. Strong position and a steady rhythm beat frantic tugging here.

The second HYROX station: driving a heavily loaded sled 50 metres across the floor. It is one of the most physically punishing stations and one of the biggest time sinks in the whole race. Small differences in body angle, foot placement and leg drive translate into large differences in time. PRO athletes push a noticeably heavier sled than Open.

The individual times that make up your race: each of the 8 runs, each of the 8 stations and the roxzone transitions. Your splits are the raw data of how the race actually unfolded, and reading them honestly is the starting point of the entire 8stations method. Import them and the platform breaks down where every second went.

The eighth and final HYROX station: 100 wall-ball reps (squat, then throw a medicine ball to a target height) to close out the race. Both Open and PRO do 100 reps; only the ball weight differs (Open 6 kg men / 4 kg women, PRO 9 kg / 6 kg). As the last station before the finish, it is brutally fatiguing, and a "good" wall-ball time can still be the thing that quietly cost you a PB. Pacing the reps to avoid a redline is the skill here.
