Pick a finish time. Get the pace to hit it.
Enter a target HYROX finish time, or a target run pace, and the calculator back-solves the maths: a recommended per-run pace plan, a per-station time allowance and a roxzone budget. Built on the real 8-run, 8-station race. No made-up benchmarks.
How to pace a HYROX
Your target
These shares are yours to set. They are not a fabricated field average. The tool back-solves your per-run pace, per-station allowance and roxzone budget from whatever split you choose.

Your 8-run pacing plan
A disciplined negative split around your goal pace: start controlled, hold the middle, spend what’s left at the end.
Discipline
5:48/km
Runs 1–3
Bank nothing early. Start ~3% slower than goal pace so the sleds don’t blow your race apart.
Hold
5:38/km
Runs 4–6
Settle on goal pace through the middle. This is the stretch where races quietly slip away.
Spend
5:27/km
Runs 7–8
Empty the tank. If you paced the first six right, you can run the last two ~3% faster.

Your race, segment by segment
Each run at its planned pace, each station at your flat allowance, and the roxzone, in race order.
This is the pace you need. Holding it on race day is a training problem, and that’s what we build for you.
Want a plan to hold this pace? This tool only does arithmetic on the target and race split you choose. It never invents a field benchmark or compares you to a fabricated “average”. The numbers are all yours.
Three blocks, one finish time.
Every HYROX pacing plan is a trade-off between the runs, the stations and the roxzone. The calculator lets you move the share between them and watch every per-unit target shift in real time.
The 8 runs
8 × 1000 m (8 km total). Your per-run pace is the spine of the plan. Start disciplined, hold the middle, and spend what's left over the last two.
The 8 stations
SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls. The calculator gives you a flat time allowance to aim for on each.
The roxzone
Sixteen transitions in and out of the floor. The clock never stops, so the plan gives the roxzone its own budget, the time almost everyone forgets to pace.
The runs set the pace; the stations set the cost; the roxzone sets the leak. A great pacing plan isn’t just a fast run pace. It’s a pace you can still hold after a sled push, plus a station and transition budget that doesn’t quietly hand back the minutes you saved.
A pace tells you what. Training tells you how.
The calculator hands you the exact pace your goal demands. The hard part is holding that pace on legs wrecked by the sleds. Compromised running is the skill that decides HYROX, and it has to be trained.
Turn a target pace into a plan that holds it
When you import an official result, 8stations.ai finds where your pace actually falls apart, names the station that’s costing you most, and builds a training plan around your target pace and your weakest stations, then adapts it every week. That’s the difference between knowing the pace and being able to run it.
